ZYDECOFAN© INSTRUCTIONS
BASIC INSTRUCTIONS
1) Click on the link that matches what you want to do and the kind of t-shirt that you want to put the design on.
2) A new window will open with the image. Click on the Save Icon or from your menu to save the image to your computer for future use. If you have already familiarize your self with the transfer instructions you can just print from this window if you choose. On some browsers you may see a dialogue box and have to choose either, SAVE will save a copy of the PDF on your own computer for future use and OPEN will open your PDF viewer. If you choose to OPEN the file directly you can then save it from the Adobe PDF viewer. You can get the Adobe PDF viewer free at Adobe.com or click here.

3) Go to an office supply store or computer electronics store and purchase a package of Shirt Transfer paper. We use Avery transfer paper but about anybrand will do. Make sure you know what kind of shirt you want to mount the transfer to. Some are for BLACK or dark color fabrics (AVERY 3279) and the other is for WHITE fabrics (AVERY 3271). We get ours from Office Depot or Fry's Electronics.
4) Read the instructions on how to do it on or in the package. It is pretty simple you just need a flat surface, iron (don't have the steam on), the transfer paper, the printed image from your inkjet printer, and the clothing you want to adhere the image to. Please note these important items: 1) The clothing must be at least 50% cotton blend or 100% cotton. Don't try this with other synthetics unless you want to risk losing your clothing item. 2) Use the appropriate downloadable graphic for the color clothing you are using.
5) BLACK/DARK fabrics require a graphic image that is readable normally e.g. print it as any normal printing would look. WHITE/LIGHT fabrics will use the graphic that looks backwards or flipped. This is because the BLACK image graphic printes directly on top of a white background of the transfer and is slightly different. The WHITE image appears backwards because it prints underneath the transfer. This way you don't have to remember to flip the image when you print it. Just print it normally. Be aware that the one for the WHITE cloth will look strange and be flipped when it comes out of the printer.
6) We have found that triming the BLACK transferes right on the BLACK outside frame works best. Otherwise, you may have a extra white frame around outside of the black. Also, triming the the WHITE transfer as close to the black frame as you can, but it is not as important . Leaving an abundance of trim around the outside sometimes leaves an adhesive mark on the cloth. If in doubt try a transfer on a scrape piece of cloth first so don't wreak a good shirt (how about your pillowcase - then you can really be a ZYDECOFAN© and sleep well?).
